Will it fit me?

One adjustable size, black. It's a harness worn over your clothes, not a fitted garment: padded shoulder straps cross at the back, the adjustable side buckles pull the waist band in to your frame — from petite to XXL. Fits a t-shirt, a fleece or a rain shell underneath. Not sure it'll sit right? Wear it for a month and send it back if it doesn't.

Free standard shipping in the contiguous US through Oct 31 (normally $4.90), from a US warehouse. At your door in 3–5 business days. No Hawaii, Alaska, PO boxes or APO/FPO.

30-day walk test: wear it on the walks you already take for a month. If it isn't on your body most mornings — or for any other reason — send it back for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping comes out of the refund unless the vest is defective — it ships at 33 lb, and we're not going to pretend that ride is free. Swapping up from Light? We waive the deduction. Returns go to Tustin, California, not overseas.

90-day defect replacement: seam split, buckle fail, pouch leak — we replace it, free.

Materials & care

Neoprene shell, double-stitched weight band with slide-in pockets, sealed iron weight packs, reflective stripes on the shoulder straps and the waist band, mesh phone pocket, side-release buckles.

Pouches out, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, hang to dry. Don't machine-wash, don't submerge the pouches.

Happy on the trails

Questions, answered plainly.

Is it exactly 20 lb?

Core is 20 lb with all six packs removed and 32 lb with all six in, in 2 lb steps. If you want to stay at exactly 20, leave the packs in the box. If you want to grow, they're already there.

Why not just buy a fixed 20?

A fixed 20 lb vest stays at twenty. Core gives you six removable 2 lb packs, so you can go from 20 to 32 lb without ordering more weight. Every pack is included in the $79.90 price.

Core or Heavy?

Core if 20 is your base and 32 is plenty. Heavy if you know you'll pass 32 — it's 24 with the packs out and 40 with all eight in, for $30 more.

What if I don't use it?

Send it back. You have 30 days from delivery, for any reason, for a refund of the purchase price. Light ships back free. On Core and Heavy the return label cost is deducted unless the item is defective. We built the walk test because the closet is where most vests end up — we'd rather take it back than have you look at it. Details on the shipping & returns page.

How fast does it ship?

From a US warehouse. Orders are processed in 1–2 business days and delivered in 2–3 business days after that — plan on 3–5 business days door to door. Shipping to the contiguous US is free through Oct 31 (normally a $4.90 flat rate); $19.90 to the other countries we ship to. We can't ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US territories, APO/FPO or PO boxes.

Does it come with all the weights?

Every single one. Light ships with six 1 lb pouches, Core with six 2 lb packs, Heavy with eight. Every pack for your model is included in the price. You open the box and you have the full range.

What if I want 15 lb?

There's no HEFT between 10 and 20. Light tops out at 10; Core starts at 20 with the packs out. If 10 already feels easy on your walks, Core is the next real step.

Does it smell?

The packs are sealed iron weights in double-stitched pockets. Neoprene can carry a faint factory smell for a day out of the bag — air it out.

Can I wash it?

Wipe it. Take the pouches out, wipe the neoprene with a damp cloth and mild soap, hang to dry. Do not machine-wash and do not submerge the pouches.

Can I train in it, or is it only for walking?

Train in it. Walk in it. Hike in it. It is built around the daily walk — weight low at the waist, nothing on your chest, off in five seconds — and that same build works for stairs, push-ups, squats and bodyweight days. What it is not is a plate carrier: 40 lb is the ceiling on Heavy, so if you want 60 lb for CrossFit, buy a plate carrier.

Is a weighted vest safe for me?

Weighted vests are exercise equipment. If you have back, joint, heart or blood-pressure conditions, or are pregnant, talk to your doctor first. Start light and add weight slowly — that is exactly what the pouches are for.

What if I need more than 32?

Heavy is 24 to 40 lb with eight packs for $109.90. If you're already strong enough that 32 won't last, start there. Both ship with every pack in the box.
